EP1643 Pedestal

The Easat EP1643 dual or single drive turntable pedestal is a high specification turning unit designed to operate in severe environmental conditions with minimal maintenance requirements.

The pedestal is designed to rotate S-band Air Traffic Control, or air defence radar antennas, with co-mounted Large Vertical Aperture (LVA) Secondary Surveillance Radar (SSR)antennas, in high winds, including icing. The pedestal can also be used to rotate SSR/MSSR antennas independently; or may be used for Coastal Surveillance Radar. Large L-band en-route radar antennas can be driven by this pedestal within a radome.
