Secondary Surveillance

Easat's Monopulse Secondary Surveillance Radar (MSSR) is a fully integrated, state-of-the-art system that meets ICAO Annex 10, civil ATC and Air Defence operations requirements. It is a highly accurate, modular, flexible system that can be installed as standalone equipment by integrating with Easat's single or dual drive EP0409 pedestal or integrated with a new or existing Primary Surveillance Radar (PSR) equipment.

The LVA Antenna Subsystem is composed of an EP0409 antenna pedestal, drive, frame and the Vertex LVA. The drive turns with an antenna and support frame. The EP0409 antenna drive is fitted with either single or dual synchronous motors, gearbox and two or three channel rotary joint and single or dual 14 bit hollow shaft optical azimuth encoders. Alternatively, Inductosyn® can be fitted in lieu of the encoders.

Easat partners with Vertex RSI who provide a range of highly respectable, high performance proven MSSR antennas including both the LVA (Vertex 1325-32) and smaller IFF antennas such as the Vertex 214M and 114M. In service worldwide, over 200 of these antennas have also been supplied to the FAA offering an unprecedented level of performance and availability.

The LVA antenna operates in 1030 MHz (interrogation) and 1090 MHz (reception) frequencies. It is composed of a set of precision encapsulated vertical column radiator dipoles fed by the horizontal feeder (created by a set of strip power dividers). precision encapsulated.

Easat offers a selection of Interrogators providing basic dual-channel or single-channel configurations, and typically 256nm radar range and Mode S functionality.
