Ship Bourne Surveillance
In the area of air and sea defence, Easat can produce radar systems and antennas, mid-range radars for ships and land applications and are involved for major shipboard sensor subsystems.
Easat's future product development will lead the role in developing and manufacturing synthetic aperture radars (SAR), which are considered essential for future reconnaissance and surveillance operations.
We are also involved in 3D Radar solutions which incorporate the radar and its subsystems to have multi functionality software, antenna design, pedestal rotation speed to cover the following operational modes:
- Surface and Air Surveillance mode (tracking of small air/surface targets);
- Navigation control (high antenna rotation speed for navigation close to the coastline);
- Over-the-Horizon detection (slow antenna rotation speed and long range detection capability);
- Anti-sea skimming missile detection (high antenna rotation rate, ensures detection of small fast moving targets).
Our radar competence is underscored by our investment in R&D, personnel and by the expansions in our manufacturing factories covering over 100,000 square metres around Stoke-on-Trent.
Our design skills enable projects to be carried out incorporating RF design, mechanical design, these include three-dimensional electromagnetic antenna modelling, near-field antenna and finite element analysis capabilities.
